For over 30 years, Bob Ronckers Running Spot and its Training Groups have been helping local runners and walkers successfully prepare for a number of area events. These include the Flying Pig Full and Half Marathons, the Heart Mini-Marathon and Half Marathon, the Hyde Park Blast, and the Thanksgiving Day Race. In addition, we added a Fall Marathon and Half Marathon Program where you can choose to train with us for the fall race of your choice (i.e. Chicago or Columbus Marathon, Cincy or Columbus Half Marathon).
The Race For The Cure 5k/10k-training program is unique in that its offered to "Women Only." New in 2012 we added Sit to Fit. Sit to Fit targets individuals wishing to begin a fitness program. The aim is to help prepare them for a 5k event.
With all of these programs going on, our goal remains the same, To help get you to where you want to go!
With the guidance of our experienced group of coaches, we will give you the assistance and encouragement needed to reach the finish line! Our team-like atmosphere promises to make the groups educational and fun along the way.
Here are some things we hope you gain from the group:

that you learn how to better mentally and physically prepare yourself to do well in the sport
that you grow to enjoy the activity even more than you currently do
that you connect with other individuals who share similar interests, goals and talents

Every program meets twice weekly. Well provide you a month-by-month training schedule geared towards your specific event. We also supply ample support along the way. When our coaches join you for each and every workout, they share not only their expertise, but also their individual experiences.
Within each program, it is not all-work as we do offer a number of social activities ranging from Happy Hours to Karaoke Nights to Cookouts which are all designed for you to let your hair down as well as see other group members in a different atmosphere. Our thought is, sharing common goals and building a sense of team helps make the challenging days not so challenging and the hard days not so hard.
So, whether you have been running or walking for years, or just considering getting started, we believe our training programs will meet your needs!!!

Cost for the Thanksgiving program is $80
Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions lead to a targeted 5k.
The Spring program begins in late March
Meets twice weekly, Mondays and Thursdays, at various locations throughout Greater Cincinnati.
Morning and late afternoon sessions are offered, 9:30 a.m. (8:30 during the summer) and 6:30 p.m.
20 participants required to have a class. Maximum of 50 per group.
Cost for the Sit to Fit program is $80
Sign up for the Full Year Programs at a cost of $250 and have access to all of our
Training Programs (except for Race For The Cure and Sit to Fit) throughout the year.
