Where do I start? The past several months have been filled with great new updates to some of your favorites and the addition of many expansions to existing lines. The world of socks continues to grow at The Spot.
As many of you reading this are aware, the Feetures brand has quickly grown to be one of the favorites among many of our marathoners. Feetures have a great fit and wicking performance. Feetures is excited to announce a change to all of its Original and Light products. After extensive research and testing, Feetures has selected a new improved moisture managing fiber. Feetures new iWick polyester has an incredibly soft touch and a bright white color. iWick does a superior job of wicking moisture to keep feet cool and dry. In addition to the switch to this new fiber, Feetures is now producing its Original socks with a higher thread count. The result is a cushioned sock with superior levels of quality, durability, and softness.
Asics shoes are known for their great fit and technology and the socks they manufacture are no different. Two of their best have recently been updated. The Kayano II sock and the Nimbus II sock are designed to hug the curves of the foot. Anatomically correct, and great for moisture management, these socks are quickly becoming a favorite among some of our most serious runners.
One of the most exciting things to happen this past year at The Spot has been the addition of our Lifestyle products. Now we also have some great stylish socks for casual wear. Both Wigwam Mills and Feetures make some fantastic hiking socks for cold weather. These come in a variety of colors and weights. In addition, you will find a large selection of Smartwool lifestyle products. The spring 2010 line includes a broad offering of colors and fun patterns, while delivering the same wonderful properties youve come to know and love in the athletic socks.
Some of the benefits of Smartwool socks are:
Temperature control, so youre warm when its cold, and cool when its warm. (a good thing)
No stink, because our merino wool keeps your feet dry and is inhospitable to smelly germs. (a very good thing)
Easy care, which means you can machine wash and dry them whenever you want. (a convenient thing)
Environmental friendliness, because we work with our wool suppliers to treat our sheep well. (a feel good thing)
Remember, here at The Spot that we are committed to doing everything we can to enhance your running and walking. Any time you purchase shoes at the store, we offer you a free pair of socks for every three you buy; a great opportunity to stock up on your favorites or try something new.
