2008 Flying Pig Running Training Program
Welcome to the Running Spot's Half Marathon Training Program page. This program is designed for anyone wishing to run in the Heart Mini-Marathon, Flying Pig 10k, Flying Pig Relay, or Flying Pig 1/2 Marathon.
We began on Saturday, January 12 and have about five weeks remaining from our 16 week training program. We meet twice a week as a group, with our regularly scheduled meetings on Saturday mornings at 8:30 am and on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm. Saturdays will be the longer workouts, with Tuesdays being a more moderate distance. We will move around to various locations with the majority of our workouts taking place on the Flying Pig Marathon course. In addition, we will provide you with a monthly training schedule designed to have you ready for the race of your choice.

Saturday, April 5 at 8:30 am - Both Groups at UC Rec Center
Tuesday, April 8 at 6:30 pm - Both Groups at Newport On The Levee
Saturday, April 12 at 8:30 am - Both Groups at Running Spot in O'Bryonville
Tuesday, April 15 at 6:30 pm - Runny McFastersons at Running Spot in OBV; Killer Bees at Crossroads
Saturday, April 19 at 8:30 am - Both Groups at Sawyer Point
Tuesday, April 22 at 6:30 pm - Both Groups at Ault Park for Group Cookout
Saturday, April 26 at 8:30 pm - Both Groups at Paul Brown Stadium
Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30 pm - Both Groups at Newport On The Levee
