Everyone is welcome to come. It is best to call before going. If you know of any other groups, and they are not on this list, please contact us.

Saturdays:

7:00 am  Saturday Morning Run Group (SMRG). Hyde Park, meet at corner of Delta and Observatory, co-ed running group, 10-15 miles, 8:00-9:00 minutes per mile pace. Ken Knight 233-0561, www.expage.com/smrg

7:00 a.m. ECHO Running Group of Cincinnati. We meet in the parking lot of the Parkside Christian Church, 6986 Salem Rd., Cincinnati, OH. We have existing routes, with each mile marked, that range from 3 to 6 miles and start and finish at the church lot. A 20 mile run can be completed without running the same route twice. We have all levels of runners, from beginning to accomplished runners. All are welcome to join us.

7:00 am  Labor Day - Memorial Day: Just Your Average Northern KY Running Group. Meets at the corner of Burlington Pike and Camp Ernst Road at the Boone County Extension Center. Park in the rear. 8:30 a.m.   Hamilton County Parks Walk Clubs Co-sponsored by The Hamilton County Parks Department, The Hamilton County General Health District and Senior Care Preferred Plus of the Health Alliance.


Join others at the following parks: Sharon Woods, Winton Woods, Miami Whitewater Forest and the Farbach Nature Center this spring through fall. Before the Flying Pig Marathon, other local marathons existed.

Mike Boylan hosted the first one, the Spartan (Roger Bacon) Marathon, in the early 1970s. Other marathons were the Blue Ash Marathon (1980s), Wade YMCA Pacemakers Marathon (late 1970s) along Rt.8, Clifton Track Club Marathon around Lunken Playfield (mid 1970s), and the Phidippides Marathon in Mt. Airy Forest (1980).
